Last year a noticed a sizable group of students at Syringa who were not involved in school activities. Knowing that being a part of an after school activity increases retention rates in schools, I started asking what they would want to participate in. A lot of their answers were cheer and dance. I thought "WOW, I love dance and I could easily fill that gap!" Fast forward a year and here we are. The team has consisted of 30+ girls and two boys who have been dedicated since last fall. I have also done a lot of work to make sure this team is inclusive for EVERYONE no matter your gender, age, or socioeconomic status. With that being said, we have had to borrow money to help provide shirts and shoes for everyone.

These amazing boys and girls have worked their booties off all year, come and show your support for your past, present, and future students!
